Are embryonic stem cells are the stem cells most frequently labelled as “controversial” because their harvesting causes the destruction of an embryo? Adult Stem Cell Advantages?  Special adult-type stem cells from bone marrow and from umbilical cord have been isolated recently which appear to be as flexible as the embryonic type.  Also, already somewhat specialized, inducement may be simpler? And finally, not immunogenic—recipients who receive the products of their own stem cells will have less rejection.
